The Journey
My flight from Vancouver to Sydney was fairly uneventful apart from Air Canada's outdated planes and lack of service.
I managed to avoid jet lagg despite Air Canada's best efforts to ensure that I would get it by serving a chicken curry at 6am.
On arrival in Vancouver it was snowing so traffic-wise the whole city was in chaos. It usually only snows in Vancouver a few times a year so noone knows how to drive in snowy conditions. News crews were setting up on dangerous corners just waiting for accidents to happen ... crazy stuff.
Only just made my bus from Vancouver to Vernon. Was a bit of a mission of a bus trip, took about 8 hours ontop of the 14 hour flight from Sydney. Arrived at Silver suprisingly full of energy and met up with an Aussie mate Luke who is skiing with his family for a few weeks. |
